Bad news for iPad users running iOS 10.1.1

Holla guys
how are you all

Its been a long time that I have posted..because ignoring the exams is not a good idea!!!!

This time I have come with a bad news for all the iPad users. If your iPad is currently running iOS 10.1.1 ,then it is matter of concern for you.

Let me take you to the 2013 when Apple introduced iOS 7.The Activation lock feature of iOS 7 was so efficient that if the device gets stolen then it will be impossible to operate the device without the login credentials of the user. This was the main reason for fall of stolen Apple devices.

Now security Analyst Mr.Benjamin Kunz Mejri from Vulnerability Labs has disclosed  a critical vulnerability in the Activation lock of the iPad running iOS 10.1.1 .It is a Buffer Overflow exploit.

The vulnerability allows the perpetrator to bypass the activation lock.

On reseting the iPad activation ,the first thing to do is to go to the "Choose another network". Now you will come across a input field named network name and network password. Usually these input fields are not meant to handle long strings and on giving an input of long string results in a buffer overflow.

You will experience in gradual decrease in the speed of the iPad and it gradually freezes. At this time just close the Smart covert for a second or two.On reopening the cover you shall experience glitch on the screen before showing the homescreen. At this very exact moment a firm press on the home button for certain time will eventually results in the bypass of the Activation Lock completely.

sorry to leave you amazed
Until next time...
