The very first thing one should do is to make sure that their passwords will be safe and secure. And for that purpose Password Manager software are the apps which were recommended by the experts too.

The most important function of the Password Manager software is to create complex passwords, also stores them and organizes all your passwords for your computers, websites, applications and networks. But if this software becomes vulnerable, then how one can make themselves secure? Well the answer of this question is that, it's not just a imagination or thinking. As per the latest news and reports from the cyber security personnel, this kind of Password Manager software are affected by some of the critical vulnerabilities and this can expose someone's credentials.

According to the report published on last Tuesday by a group of security experts named TeamSIK of the Fraunhofer Institute for Secure Information Technology, located in Germany, said that namely 9 most popular Android Password managers which are available on Google Playstore are vulnerable to many vulnerabilities.

~The list of the Password Manager apps which are affected are as follows:-

    1) LastPass
    2) Keeper

All these apps has between 100,000 and 50 Million installs. "The overall results were extremely worrying and revealed that password manager applications, despite their claims, do not provide enough protection mechanisms for the stored passwords and credentials", - TeamSIK said. Every application, has 26 issues after researchers discovered security vulnerabilities.

According to the research of the team, some of these applications were vulnerable to data residue attacks and clipboard sniffing. These applications stores the master password in a fully plain text or they even exposed encryption keys in the code. In some of the cases, due to the installments of thee some malicious applications, the user's password can be easily accessed and exfiltrated. What's the more worrisome? Any attacker can easily exploit many of the flaws discovered by the researchers team without any root permissions.

As the vendors had declared all these above-listed issues, all the users are kindly requested to update their applications so that they will not become the victims off thee attackers.
