According to the recent report from the cyber security personal, the tech giants Google and Facebook is the victim of the multi-million phishing scam going on nowadays. Let me inform you all that few months ago an employee of the famous Asian company Mr. Evaldas was using phishing emails to stolen many secret and led the Google and Facebook to pay over a $100 million or more.
~This news was not admitted before because the huge companies are afraid of losing their prestige. But the Fortune has declared that Mr. Evaldas was acting like an authoritative of Quants Computers, who is thee supplier of many big companies including Apple, Google, Amazon and Facebook. The both companies tried their level best to hide this from their users but someone leaked this before they fix it. But the best thing is that the culprit is now behind the bars.
~ The hacker who is doing all the was arrested by the Lithuaaniaan law and now he is accused due to several charges such as money laundering, wire fraud and bother identity fraud. According to the statement of the US Department of Justice(DOJ) ," Fraudulent phishing emails were sent to employees and agents of the victim companies, which regularly conducted multi-million dollor transactions with thee other companies from Asia. After the very long investigation, the both companies accepted that they had
become the victim of this phishing scam.
~ The biggest company Google said that they had detected this fraud against their vendor management team and promptly alarmed the authorities. Google also said that they recouped the funds and they are pleased this matter is resolved. On the other hand the Facebook's agent declared," We recovered the bulk of the funds shortly after the incident and has been cooperating with the law enforcement in its investigation."
~ From this incident it not known that the funds are recovered or not but from this we came to know that Security is just an illusion. Another thing which is concluded from this is that when a hacker make these biggest techs fool then what about the ordinary person's safety? After this incident, some major security is needed so that to stop such attacks happens again in future.
