" Hp laptops not secure for its users!"
~ Welcome back dear readers, today we will discuss about the recent problem or say security flaw occurred in the HP Elitebook laptop nowadays. The issue happened with it is that it compromises the personal information like passwords and other important information of the user.
~ According to the recent report from the Swiss infosec firm named ModZero, thee HP EliteBook laptops, the update in the audio driver started acting like a keylogger. It captures and processes each and every single key pressed.It's not end here, thee horrible thing is that in the recent update it was announced behaviour of keylogger. It was found that every single keypress will be stored locally and it is found in thee file having location at C:\Userss\Public\MicTray.log. But the good thing is that, this file is cleaned every time when you log out of the system or computer.
~ But the group ModZero pointed out that if you have any type of additional backup system in the place, you would be unknowingly constructing a long-lasting record of everything that you type daily. This group advices that all the users of the HP ELiteBook laptop "......... should check whether the program C:\Windows\System32\MicTray64.exe or C:\Windows\System32\MicTray.exe is installed." If it is installed in laptop, it confirms the executable be deleted or renamed, in order to stop it from logging keystrokes, despite it notes that if you do this, certain special keys may not work longer. It is advised that users should delete the MicTray log file, because it might contain some sensitive information including user-name, password and other log in details.
