Astronomers identify oldest asteroid family

Hi guyzz !!!!

I am here again with a new post !!!!

The  Astronomers of SwRI (South west Research Institute)  have identified the oldest known  asteroid family which extend throughout the inner region of the main asteroid belt.

The asteroid belt is the circumstellar disc in the Solar system which is located between the orbits of the Mars and Jupiter, and it is occupied by uncountable irregular shaped bodies called asteroids or we can also say it minor planets. The asteroid belt is also have called as the main asteroid belt or main belt. This is distinguished just to have a more clear idea as there are numerous asteroid belt floating in the space.
1) Near-Earth asteroids
2)Trojan asteroids.

The Astronomers had also discovered a  relatively sparse region of the main part of asteroid belt where as the few asteroids are present on it  are likely pristine relics from early in solar system .

How did the planets form? Asteroid family reveals early Solar system

How the planets are formed is among one of the greatest mystery still unanswered???  but the scientist are finding the clues in asteroid belt that could be the window into the early days of our Solar system. A full team of researchers has identified the new family of asteroids that split off again from the same parent rock, some 4 billion years ago and they find a bit clearer picture of the space environment at the time when the planets were still coming together. The researchers through their findings, concluded that the family is almost 4 billion years old, residing in the universe which is roughly 4.6 billion years old.

There are many collision between the asteroids through the years and years. The Mars and Jupiter encountered the majority of collisions and thus a massive asteroid belt is dominating the region between the Mars and the Jupiter.

An asteroid collision creates  a cluster  of fragments that drift apart of over time mainly in the function  of how radiation  from the sun push them around and after that the smaller pices get pushed faster and farther until  the fragment settle into a V-Shape
