Yes, this is true. The new version of the Mozilla Firefox has been launched for the users to make them safe from Facebook who spies on it's users activities on their browser. This version is specially launched for those users who use Facebook from the Firefox browser on daily basis. The Mozilla Foundation gave a name to this extension as "Facebook Container". In this extension, the inbuilt add-on will divide your Facebook identity from the rest of the surfing and other activities on the internet and this how Facebook will not be able to spy on the activities off it's users' web activity.
This extension provides the facility which deletes your Facebook cookies every time and logs you out of the social media when you are not online. When you open it for the next time you will be able to see a blue coloured icon named as "container" tab where your Facebook has opened and you can use it normally there. There is one point which can be considered as an advantage or a disadvantage of this new extension. it is that you won't be allowed to login into any other third-party app while using Facebook in the browser. Another disadvantage of this extension is that the comments and likes button will also not be working while using it.
The Firefox Frontier blog says,"This prevents Facebook from associating information about your activity on websites outside of Facebook to your Facebook Identity. So it may look different than what you are used to seeing." As we all know that the Facebook platform and some of the off-site advertising sites associated with it allows some third-party apps to access to the users data. The most surprising thing is that these third-party apps access to the users data even when they are not online. The recent news on the Facebook's mishandling of the users data made most users to lose their trust on the Facebook. And this will help Mozilla Foundation to gain more trust and users by its latest Firefox extension which takes care of it's users' data and privacy.
